Step into the world of classic handcrafted magic with Impossible Penetration, an ingenious illusion designed by Clarence Miller and manufactured in limited quantities by Chalet Magic (George Kimery) in Limestone, Tennessee during the 1980s–90s.

This vintage piece is a perfect blend of clever mechanics and bold deception—ideal for collectors or performers who appreciate well-crafted stage-style magic.

✦ Effect:

A thin wooden “blade” with a handle and a central hole is openly displayed—solid, innocent-looking, and fully examinable. A custom wooden case, designed to hold the blade, is also shown. The case splits in half from top to base and features a matching hole.

The blade is first inserted into the holder and removed, showing its functionality. Then, with everything appearing above-board, the spectator is asked to place a finger into the hole of the case.

With a dramatic flair, the magician slams the blade down through the case—and the impossible happens! The case is opened, revealing the spectator’s finger has apparently been impaled by the solid wooden blade. Yet, all is well—no pain, no injury… just astonishment.

The illusion resets quickly and is ready to go again for your next stunned audience.
